History I played in and around Tucson steady, from about 1978 to 1992. The first place I played was "The Cup" a tea/coffee house hosted by big Jim Griffith. My first paid gig was at Al Smith's Pub on north oracle, I was one of, if not his first solo artist, I was about 19. other people who played there were The Titan valley war heads, Arizona Mountaineers, etc. I played for the Packems for years at The River Belle, and the River Boat back to back with Travis Edmondson.
