In producing this album, 96 ROCK-KLPX has teamed up with Miller Beer and over 70 other leading radio stations from around the country as part of a national search to find the new musical superstars of the '80's.
From Boston to Los Angeles - more than 20,000 bands entered the "Rock to Riches" contest... searching for the break that will land them the Grand Prize of S25,000 in RAMSA Sound Equipment and, most Importantly, a record deal with Atlantic Records... rock 'n roll's premier record label
Inside this album is a ballot for you to fill out with the name of your favorite local band. The group voted best will advance to the regional competition. Participating radio stations in your region will vote to determine the five National Finalists.
The five National Finalists will compete for the Grand Prize at a live show before a panel of judges for the music industry.
We advise you to take care of this album as it usually becomes a collectors item and increases dramatically in price in future years. Of course, there is no way to estimate the value should one of your local acts explode and become another REO Speedwagon or Fleetwood Mac.
