DOMINO JOE 4:27 Words and music by George Hawke
- I'd been in town for a week or so and it seemed like everywhere I'd go
- I'd hear his name and I'd want to know just who the Hell is this Domino Joe
- So I walked in a bar and I asked some dame and her eyes lit up when I mentioned his name
- And she said stranger you must be insane not to know bout Domino Joe
- And she said Domino Joe he's a honky tonk crawler
- He's a whiskey drinker and a barroom brawler
- He's a pool hall hustler tryin' to make a dollar
- And the women seem to like his style
- He's a blackjack shucker and a crap game jiver
- He's a Cadillac dreamer and an old truck driver
- He's a footloose schemer and a platform diver
- And he'll win you over with his smile
- Well that told me a little but not enough so I asked the barkeep to pour some stuff
- And I looked in her eyes and I called her bluff and I said now tell me more
- She tossed back a whiskey and I bought her another and she drank that down and said thank you brother
- When I get done you'll know as much as his mother maybe more bout Domino Joe
- And she said
- Domino Joe he's a rodeo rider
- He's a wine drinking free thinking doomed backslider
- He's a four wheeling double dealing hunting guider
- And the women seem to like his style
- He's a singing fool and a dime a dancer
- He's a ladies man and a smooth romancer
- He's a pay your money and you take your chancer
- And he'll win you over with his smile
- I guessed I'd learned about all I could and I thanked that girl and said you did good
- You told me bout as much as I hoped you would and I'm pleased to meet you
- Then I looked up and saw a man at the door and he said buddy I could tell you more
- If you've got the time I'll take the floor my name's Joe, Domino Joe
- And he said
- Domino Joe he's a honky tonk crawler
- He's a whiskey drinker and a barroom brawler
- He's a pool hall hustler tryin' to make a dollar
- And the women seem to like his style
- He's a singing fool and a dime a dancer
- He's a ladies man and a smooth romancer
- He's a pay your money and you take your chancer
- And he'll win you over with his smile
- And he'll win you over with his smile

WHEN THE FULL MOON RISES 2:59 Words and music by George Hawke
- Charley's pinching asses making passes while the music plays
- He's got six hot ones on the line and he's hoping at least one of them stays
- But by the time the night is over he's too drunk to even drive her home
- Well the full moon's shining and Charley's stumbling home alone
- Domino Joe hits Billy and Thelma starts picking on Sue
- There's a rumble in the back and Joe gets hit on the head with a cue
- In the front they're drinking and dancing the hootchie coo
- And I'm here singing and watching all the whoop de do
- When the full moon rises there's some real surprises in store
- The boys do the boogie and the girls do the woogie and roar
- And around about midnight the cops knock down the door
- When the full moon rises there's some real surprises in store
- There's a bust in the alley and Sally just passed out on the floor
- They're playing poker on the table in the corner over by the door
- There's some horny looking honeys throwing money around and drinking beers
- And some hipsters and some maggots and some faggots and some wierdos and queers
- Joe is making it with Annie but her husband just came through the door
- Before he knows what hit him Joe is lying with his face on the floor
- Well Joe is kind of new here and he doesn't know she's somebody's wife
- It's just his introduction to the really wilder side of life
- When the full moon rises there's some real surprises in store
- The boys do the boogie and the girls do the woogie and roar
- And around about midnight the cops knock down the door
- When the full moon rises there's some real surprises in store

KEEP ME OUT OF JAIL TONIGHT 2:23 Words and music by George Hawke
- Keep me out of jail tonight please Charley
- Unless you got the money to go my bail
- You know I don't think too much
- Any time I drink too much
- So Charley try and keep me out of jail
- I remember once in Tucson, Arizona
- I met a guy in Harry's bar and grill
- I had one too many highballs
- Then I hit him in the eyeball
- And from what I hear that guy is bouncing still
- Then there's the time the cop thought I'd been drinking
- Just cause I'd been seen in ten saloons
- He said that I was driving
- Like a man who'd been imbibing
- Had me walking lines and blowing up baloons
- Keep me out of jail tonight please Charley
- Unless you got the money to go my bail
- You know I don't think too much
- Any time I drink too much
- So Charley try and keep me out of jail
- I can't forget that time at Sally's party
- When I dived naked from the board into the pool
- How was I to know that
- Somewhere right below that
- The sheriff's wife was swimming like a fool
- Keep me out of jail tonight please Charley
- Unless you got the money to go my bail
- You know I don't think too much

NOGALES SONG 3:47 Words and music by George Hawke
- We went down to Nogales on a bender on a roar
- We were talking to the pimps and we were checking out the whores
- We were drinking up tequila we were spitting on the floor
- We were having fun and looking for some more
- The girls they all stood six feet tall and they all chewed chewing gum
- They called us muy bonita as they drank Bacardi rum
- The boys they all had switchblade knives and sold the Spanish fly
- They all had something special we could buy
- It's hard to be a cowboy when there ain't no range to ride
- A buckeroo ain't someone who belongs locked up inside
- I'm sitting in Nogales jail just waiting for a friend
- To buy me out and set me free again
- I made a deal and she took me to a room that made me blink
- There was nothing but a mattress and a toilet and a sink
- The mattress was alive with bugs the toilet overflowed
- I said excuse me but I think I'll go
- I escaped into an alley where a man stood with a gun
- I lost my head and took a swing and lit out on a run
- But two arms reached out and grabbed me and the man said"Gringo no
- We don't hit cops in gay old Mexico"
- It's hard to be a cowboy when there ain't no range to ride
- A buckeroo ain't someone who belongs locked up inside
- I'm sitting in Nogales jail just waiting for a friend
- To buy me out and set me free again

ASHES TO ASHES 6:05 Words and music by George Hawke
- Cars were lined up down the road they came from miles around
- No one saw much sense in crying no one made a sound
- Domino Joe was probably smiling from his coffin at the scene
- Delivered to his party in a chauffered limousine
- Joe looked kind of natural but they couldn't quite disguise
- The grin of rigor mortis and the bullet between his eyes
- His family didn't have much money to spend on fancy stuff
- And old pine box some flowers for Domino Joe that was enough
- Ashes to ashes dust to dust
- If the whiskey don't get you
- Then the women surely must
- Dearly beloved let's bow our heads in prayer
- If Heaven's like a honky tonk then Domino Joe is there
- Eulogies were given by the friends who knew him best
- The organ played they gathered round and watched him laid to rest
- They each threw in an orchid and then they turned to go
- They all met at the Rocket Club and drank to Domino Joe
- Some folks called him rowdy and a rounder to the core
- But now he's dead and folks don't say those unkind things no more
- Domino Joe will be remembered as a fun filled kind of guy
- Drinking beer and chasing angels in that tavern in the sky
- Ashes to ashes dust to dust
- If the whiskey don't get you
- Then the women surely must
- Dearly beloved let's bow our heads in prayer
- If Heaven's like a honky tonk then Domino Joe is there
